Thumbnails
When you upload a new photo, a thumbnail is automatically generated. These thumbnails are displayed on Picsengine. You can resize in live all the thumbnails. It's usefull to see more photos or to get more details.
EXIF Data
Numeric camera are now in each pockets, so your photos contains precious informations like the shoot date or more specifically exposure, lightness,... Now with Picsengine, EXIF are viewable by everyone (if you enable this feature) on your gallery.
PicsEngine gets IPTC keywords of your photos. You can use softwares like iPhoto, Lightroom or Aperture to tag your photos and then upload them to PicsEngine.
Tags
You have the possibility to tag your photos. For example, you can tag your photo with the people’name, with the event (Sam Birthday, europe trip, ...), with the colors or anything you want.
These tags are written into your photos, so you can get them when you'll import the photos into your photo edition softwares.
A new way to navigate into photos is available in PicsEngine: the tag navigation.
Comments
Because you want to improve your photos or to have opinion on your work, Picsengine includes a comment feature directly accessible in the user-interface. Furthermore, comments are manageable in the admin section.
Smart albums
This is a new way to organize your photos. Create an album to search the photos with the tags “birthday” and “sam” is so much cool. Albums are dynamics, so you tag your photos and they are automatically inserted in the corresponding albums.
Albums can search by tags, but also can be sorted or limited to a specified number of photos.
A excelent feature of Picsengine is that you can organize albums in albums like a tree.
That can be useful to organize albums by themes or date.
Perhaps you want to have some privacy? Each album can be protected by a password.
